| Kathleen Hoye began her career in Northern Ireland, touring in a Belfast-based acoustic duet during and toward the end of the 1996 cease-fire. She has since returned to the U.S., opening for relevant artists such as Paula Cole, Leon Russel, Gillian Welch, AJ Croce, and Iris DeMent. Her music, which has been alternately described as both vibrant and somber, has taken on many faces, influences, textures, and moods over the years, yet her new project, Delilah, is by far her boldest expression and grandest departure to date. Each track represents a point on a broad continuum between ambient mood music, white noise, and all-out alternative rock abandon. The lyrics are impressionistic rather than narrative, relying on archetypal imagery and th logic of dreams to explore themes of artistic struggle and release, spirit, and the solace of time. The last track, entitled Patricia's Song, is simply a surprise. Kathleen's music has been featured on the cover of Today's Woman Magazine and the Louisville Music News and in numerous articles in the Louisville Courier-Journal and Louisville Eccentric Observer. She's also been described as one of Louisville's "Best Kept Secrets." During a brief stay in Knoxville, TN, she was voted one of the "Top Ten Acts in Knoxville" by the Knoxville Music Industry Association. |

| "Bold. Edgy. Expressive. Often somber and melancholy. Lyrically masterful. And a gorgeous voice that will make you melt...It's wonderful. This is a talent that's been there a long time. It's time for everyone to notice." Les Reynolds www.Indie-Music.com "What I found in "Delilah" was a captivating listening experience, not a CD. I cant listen to it in my car while driving, because it takes away too much of my attention. I could get a ticket for D.U.I.K.H. (driving under the influence of Kathleen Hoye) if I had Delilah in my CD player cruising down the Road." By Jason Koerner Louisville Music news |

time and space will heal your wounds
you can't carry the weight of the world
why can't you just believe that there is more
to this world than you can see you can't carry the weight of the world
so just open your eyes and believe
that there is more to
this world than you can see
you can't carry the weight of the world
time and space will heal your wounds

she had ruled herself for years
with an iron hand
the strong hands of a man she could not stand
but now she simply chose to believe
something that she could not see
she found herself wanting to be invincible
like the open sea
she chose to believe
the poet underneath
one day when talk had long since ceased
her desperate loneliness increased
but soon the beauty of the music in her mind
gave her the courage and the strength to finally find
the poet underneath

what do i owe myself and what do i owe everybody else
the stillpoint between love that is and love that does love that is and love that was and love that never will
i don't want to be the jagged remnant of your life
that cuts your skin when you begin to pick it up again
i just want to be your friend
i watch your world fall down around you while you stand there
bewildered stricken
hands at your sides i watch your eyes as you assess the damage never knowing
which shattered piece to pick up first
yet still you search for more
i don't want to be the jagged remnant of your life
that cuts your skin when you begin to pick it up again
i just want to be your friend

i feel like a stand in in a one man show cause i remind you
of somebody you used to know
she comes to you when your fast asleep
she's got something to tell you you don't want to hear
she says i'll see you in my dreams
you are the moon and i'm the red hot sun
our journey together has just begun
you see your way through darkness with a candle light
i sing with the catbirds
on a summer's night
and i'll see you in my dreams...
lord guard us all from captivity
help us forever to help ourselves be free
security has a price if you're willing to pay
i'll never let my ego
make a slave of me
but i'll see you in my dreams

everyone tells me i need more gratitude
everyone tells me there ain't no time to lose
but i keep wanting to play outside the rules
this game i'm playing they say is only played by fools
gratitude eludes me
everyone's trying to beat their demons down
everyone's dying to live again
and all these people i don't know say "i'm your friend"
well let's not go there now please no let's not pretend
gratitude eludes me
so i keep trying to find my stolen youth
to hear the ancient song inside my silent muse
each day i wake and pray that she will keep me safe
and guide this broken ship toward a brand new summer day
gratitude eludes me

the jester dances alone under the stars laughing at her lonely shadow
a pointed hat and silly grin always wins over the crowd
moonlight jester come dance with me teach me
what i need to know that everybody has a shadow
everybody has a shadow
even you
the silver-blue moonlight reflects the gnarled hands of
midnight trees
a chilly breeze blows a song along the black coal ridge
she dances on she dances on...
moonlight jester come dance with me
teach me what i need to know
that everybody has a shadow
everybody has a shadow
everybody has a shadow...
even you
